Ms. Beth - bio

Ms. Beth Beth Barbaro is a board certified music therapist who loves making music with people of all ages and abilities. She has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of populations, including kids with emotional disabilities in Fairfax County Public Schools; with the elderly in day program and residential settings; and with children and adults with developmental disabilities/traumatic brain injuries in private practice.

In addition to her music therapy practice, Beth has been teaching group music classes for parents and young children since 1999. As well as “Wee Got The Beat!” classes, she currently teaches music/movement at several preschools in Fairfax and Loudoun counties, conducts library music programs for toddlers, and partners with the Infant & Toddler Connection Fairfax-Falls Church to offer special needs music classes in the community.

She has gained a great deal of insight and inspiration from her own two children.

Miss Beth's music classes are fabulous! My daughter started with Miss Beth when she was just over one year (she is now 6) and my three -year-old son loved music with Miss Beth as well. She is calm, warm and loving in all of her interactions with the children. Her music selections include both the kid-favorites, as well as new ones which keep it interesting for both child and parent. There is a consistent format to her class - which the children love and depend on - coupled with something new and different each time also. She is an accomplished musician with a beautiful voice, and someone who clearly loves music and children. We have since moved out of the area, but will always remember and miss Miss Beth's class.
